Continental Inc. Opens Advanced Lighting Lab in Central Indiana

Continental's Advanced Lighting Lab is now available for customers who want to incorporate LEDs and other new lighting technologies into their existing products or product lines. Continental has a long history of lighting development and has been awarded over 30 patents in lighting over the past two decades.

CEO Judy Nagengast states "LED technology has matured in the past few years to a point where it is now a viable alternative for many lighting applications. LEDs are very efficient and are non-toxic to the environment. We are excited to lend our expertise to customers who want to know more about how they can use LEDs in their own products."

LED Engineer Jerry Heineger states "LEDs are the light of the future. Costs have been dropping dramatically and light output has continued to increase. However, LEDs are an electrical device and thus require some engineering expertise to be successfully incorporated into products."
